1993 Allante Won't Start - HELP!

1993 Cadillac Allante:

No start condition – Already replaced: Defective Fuel Pump and regulator, Crank and Camshaft Sensors, Sparkplugs, ICM, PCM and Starter.

Engine cranks occasional pops when spraying starting fluid, no fuel smell, pressure at the fuel regulator, may not be getting fuel from the fuel rail. Not sure how to test!

Old starter was burnt and replaced, new starter does not seem to crank as fast as it should. We recharged our battery and will test it today.

The engine hasn’t been started in over 6 years, could the starter be struggling due to friction from un-oiled piston walls and rings. We thought about putting a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder to see if that helps loosen it up. Do you think that’s unnecessary?

We’re not sure if the PCM is sensing oil pressure from the oil sending unit when the engine is cranking. Can this cause a no start condition? If so, can we bypass the sensor to see if it’s the cause of the problem?

After testing and replacement of many parts, we starting to Suspect the Passkey System could be the cause of the engine not to starting?

We found a few other occasions while searching the internet where these vehicles would not restart after receiving the “Traction Disabled Light” According to the previous owner, This condition occurred prior to shutting off the engine for the last time.

Is there a way to disable Decoder Key system? Engine cranks, does not seem to be getting fuel. Occasional pop shows that there is spark. Understanding is that the Decoder also disables the Fuel Relay to prevent starting. To check this could we bypass the relay and run 12 volts to the fuel pump or relay?

Can we cut the decoder wired from the ignition switch and bypass the resistor on the key, trying resistors with the 15 different ohm ratings? When we measure the Ohms from the resistor on the key, is there any way to know what Ohms the Passkey Module is setup for?

Do these aftermarket passkey bypass units work?

Although there’s a 1 in 10 chance of the decoder module being defective, can it be tested without and special tools?

Does leaving the key in the on position with the engine not running for ten minutes then turning to off and then try to start the engine reset the Passkey Decoder?

Do you know if locksmiths could reset the Passkey system or does it have to be done by Cadillac?

Tried “Re-Learn” of new PCM, received code P080, “TP Sensor/Idle Learn Not Complete”. There was a prior top engine fire and the TP Sensor will probably need to be replaced. Does this condition cause the re-learning of the other components to fail or, does it bypass the error and finish the relearn for the other components?

Why would the battery voltage drop when a door is opened, seems like it would rise? Could the door security be enabled but, not turning on alarm?

Other than painfully checking all related electric circuits for shorts as shown in the factory manual, anybody have any other ideas? Are there any Bypass Codes that might help us? It seems like they are made to analyze problems on a working engine and would not assist us with our no start condition.

Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated!!
