Raindrops falling in my lap:-)

I had my '93 windshield replaced about 4 months ago


Last week I got in heavy, heavy rain (Florida) where sheets of water were flowing up the windshield at 45 mph. I had not been in this type of heavy rain before the windshield was replaced so don't know if that caused it or not.


Pretty soon water started dripping/streaming in along the top of the windshield.


I examined the area where the top joins the the windshield frame , assuming it was the top connection area causing the leak but I don't see how that could be as there are gutters in the plastic that should catch it. It was dripping heavily on my right leg and to the right of the rear mirror even after I had stopped and the rain had quit.


It looks to me as if the water was being forced up under the rubber gasket along the top of the glass and not from the top joint.


Does anyone else have this happen in heavy rain? Any ideas how it is getting in? I'm thinking of running a length of plastic tape over where the rubber meets the glass but I couldn't identify the source.
